The map to the King Taksin Monument
at Wong Wian Yai

My Web Site: An article that begs to be socialized

The map to the King Taksin Monument shows the location of the monument at Wong Wian Yai, Thonburi.

Wong Wian Yai, literally the big roundabout, is at the junction of Somdet Phra Chao Taksin Road
and Prachathipok Road.

Though Thonburi is on the west bank of the Chao Phraya, it's still administratively part of Bangkok.

To get there, you'll have to cross the Taksin Bridge at the end of South Sathorn Road over to
Krung Thonburi Road and turn right at Somdet Phra Chao Taksin Road.

Corrado Feroci's monument is located at the roundabout in the center of the junction.
The monument is surrounded by a well-tended park and ring road.

Please refer to the map to the King Taksin Monument

The scale of the map is at the top right corner.

Getting across the busy road to the monument in the center is going to be tricky.

There're no traffic lights and the motorists pay scant attention to the pedestrian crossing painted on the road.

However, the trick is to follow the Thais when they cross, as they seem to have an uncanny sense of timing.

To return to the King Taksin Monument.

For other monuments by Corrado Feroci.
